Pharrell Williams might be the closest thing we have to a modern Renaissance-man, thanks to his just-announced capsule collection with Parisian fashion power-house Chanel.
The singer-songwriter, rapper, producer and designer attended a replica of Chanel’s Cruise 2018 show in a new installation in Bangkok with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, and son, Rocket Williams, where the news was revealed, telling fans it is “coming soon” while pointing to a Chanel logo.
This is not the first time Williams has worked with the fashion house. Back in 2016, the artist walked in and composed a song with Cara Delevingne for the pre-summer/winter 2015 collection; he also collaborated with the brand on trainers with Adidas.
Williams was seen wearing a yellow hoodie emblazoned with glittering Chanel insignia, which was then later revealed as his own design, the streetwear will be part of a ready-to-wear and accessories edit of SS19.
Both Chanel and Williams have remained quiet on details of pricing and size-range, but the brand did say the collection will debut exclusively on March 29 at its new Seoul flagship followed by selected Chanel around the world from April 4.
