It’s Friday and we got a whole new Spindle Selects Playlist this week. It’s jam packed with new releases from Stormzy, Nasty Cherry, Cat Burns, Blossoms and more!

Stormzy feat. Ed Sheeran and Burna BoyOwn It

Wasting no time, the track starts off with a hard AF beat and Stormzy smooth voice. The single is jam-packed with exceptional bars from the MC and great featuring spots from Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy. With the wait to his sophomore album nearly coming to an end, we can’t wait to see what other fire tracks he has in store.

Nasty CherryFuck Modern Love

We are OBSESSED with Nasty Cherry, a pop-rock band formed by pop queen Charli XCX. Their music, voices, and talent are undeniable, making their new EP Season 1 a joy to listen to. Fuck Modern Love comes off their debut EP, and it’s a beautiful track that gives the perfect mix of pop and rock n roll! Cat Burns I Don’t Blame You

I Don’t Blame You is showing the sensitive side to the fiercely unapologetic songstress. The stripped-down record pulls back the layers of Burns and brings listeners into her inner thoughts, feelings, and anxiety revolving around her dad. It’s emotional, honest, and bittersweet. Thank you, Cat for being so open.

Blossoms The Keeper

Blossoms new track The Keeper will bring an instant smile to your face. The record expertly describes the feelings of love and all its sticky sweet goodness. Tom Ogden’s vocals spread the romantic message perfectly, with his 70’s like sound and style.

The Japanese HouseChewing Cotton Wool

We have a lot of emotions while listening to The Japanese House new single Chewing Cotton Wool. From it’s simple production to the haunting lyrics, the track is a strong release from the indie-pop songstress. It’ll have you feeling like you’re floating to the clouds then to contemplating life in a instant. Chewing Cotton Wool is a record that needs to be listened to.

Kida Kudz feat. Teni and Sons of Sonix Money

Kida Kudz really likes money in his new track Money featuring Teni and Sons of Sonix. Produced by SOS, the track brings the heat with its hard production and addictive chorus. The three of them do their thing bringing their individual sound and style to the track.

Following the release of her stunning debut single ‘Part Time, 21-year-old Londoner returns with her latest luxurious offing Tell Me. Writing her music within the guise of the urban jazz genre has allowed her to open her sound up, regularly blending her direction with hip-hop and RnB production, which also applies to Tell Me. Combining a free and laid-back guitar hook, smooth drums, and her own naturally sweeping vocals creates a bold and refreshing addition to her growing catalogue, one that also reflects her own personality.

Fresh off the back of his UK run of tour dates which included a stop at Kentish Town forum, the African powerhouse continues his ascent as an all-encompassing artist, entrepreneur and businessman. Turn this one up LOUD!

Lava/Treacle is an epic R&B slow jam that will have you lighting the candles and hitting up your boo thang. The soul and old school essence of the beloved genre is so strong in track, leaving you feeling fantastic and shook when the song is over. Jesse James Solomon does his thing on the track bringing his smooth and swag bars to the forefront.

Oblivion feat Sia is a perfect example of an exemplary collaboration between two talented singer-songwriters, and we simply don’t deserve it.
