Genuine Panama – The Crease
Following on from the release of their highly-praised debut EP ‘Itchy Teeth’ in 2019, Birmingham-via-Bristol-based indie-pop outfit Genuine Panama now return with another heavy dose of sunshine with their latest offering ‘The Crease’. Taking cues from other bright and uplifting groups such as Vampire Weekend and Bombay Bicycle Club, their newest release stands as a menagerie of brass licks, shuffling drum grooves and undulating guitar work. Cementing ‘The Crease’ is a tune from a millenial’s trench in the rat race.
Mabes – Keeping The Noise Down
2020 is the year of newcomer Mabes. The Essex-based, hotly-tipped musician is well on her way to super-stardom and new cut ‘Keeping The Noise Down’ is proof of that. MishCatt – ‘Fades Away (Avicii Tribute Concert Version)’
MishCatt shares the acoustic rendition of ‘Fades Away’ by Avicii following her touching performance at the Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health Awareness in Stockholm, Sweden in December 2019. The live track was the first from the event to officially be released across DSPs via Universal Music and has racked up over 20 million streams. She humbly states “Life is very interesting… Not too long ago I had no idea I would be singing a song from Avicii. I mean… it’s Avicii! But last year ended with an incredible tribute to such an amazing human. Christian Lopez – ‘Who You Really Are’
Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Christian Lopez released a new single entitled ‘Who You Really Are’ just last week as cities across the globe and the live entertainment industry at large shut down in an effort to contain the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). While many of us are at home and taking shelter, the young artist revealed the eerily prophetic music video for the track.
