Spindle Home Session: Alex Isley Performs An Emotional Tribute To The Black Lives Matter Movement With Her Cover Of ‘Harvest For The World’

Alex Isley is an emerging talent that is ready to make her mark in the industry. Growing up, the songstress was immersed in music.
It was at the age of 12 years old that Isley began her journey as a singer and started classicly training with her grandmother. Along with learning the inner workings of classical music, Alex also had a teacher in her father, Ernie Isley – who was also a member of the legendary R&B-Funk group The Isley Brothers.

The singer-songwriter continued to soak in the knowledge of music over the years, studying it throughout high school and earning a B.A. in Jazz Studies at UCLA. Honing her craft was just the beginning for Alex, since graduating she has worked on numerous solo projects including her recent release ‘Wilton’. She has also collaborated with some of the industry’s most influential talent including Kendrick Lamar, Scarface, producer Jack Dine , and writer/actress Issa Rae. With more new music on its way, it’s safe to say that Alex Isley is a force to be reckoned with.
