Speaking on the record, he states “This song is about a mate of mine who went through a life-changing event as a teenager. “It took a long time for him to heal and aspects of what happened have taken a toll on his life. Fast forward to now, and he’s one of the most outgoing, positive people you could ever meet. It got me thinking that we can all go through tough times; it’s what you choose to do after that’s important. If something positive can come out of it, that’s a really special thing.”
