Alongside the track’s release, the songstress also dropped an accompanying music video for the record that was inspired by Ryū Murakami’s 1992 pink film Tokyo Decadence. Speaking on the inspiration for the track, Isabella describes “Cherry Bomb” as “Shiny bellybutton piercing and shiny red fireworks. Juicy cherries ripping into your lover’s mouth. Carefree, explosive and raunchy. A bitchy and greedy approach to lust. Ecstasy on the Ferris wheel.”

SantigoldAin’t Ready

Santigold is back with her brand new single ‘Ain’t Ready’ and she is back in her musical element. The moody single is full of an emotional bass and haunting vocals from the Santigold. Speaking on her creative process for the track, she reveals:  ‘Ain’t Ready’ is a song I started with Illangelo. Dre Skull and Sbtrkt came on board to help bring it home, another true collaboration of such distinct and amazing talent. It was one of those songs where as soon as I opened my mouth the whole melody just poured out. There were no words but all the emotion was there. To me, the song sounded full of struggle and perseverance. It sounded like a battle, and I wanted the production to sound tough, to mirror that grit.

FKA Twigs killer

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter FKA twigs is continuing her music take-over with her brand new single ‘KILLER’. After the release of her critically acclaimed mixtape ‘caprisongs’ the songstress is ready to start her new music era with the aforementioned track. Throughout the record, FKA twigs sings about the inner turmoil of heartbreak and of an all-consuming love. Speaking on the record, the singer says: “It’s dangerous to be a woman in love”- when at its worst the effects of heartbreak can define one’s trajectory much more than the beauty of the love itself, in my song ‘Killer’ I explore this concept. The navigation, the hunt and the kill. The death of promises, dreams and the future that was once promised. But like the wildest plucked roses, I find myself more beautiful delicately wilted, in shadow, forced solace, darkened at the edges and achingly thirsting to be tended to again.’
