Olivia Lunny – City Of Angels
Canadian singer-songwriter and pop powerhouse, Olivia Lunny, returns to share her new single ‘City of Angels’, which is lifted from her forthcoming album, to be released early 2025. Speaking on the track, the emerging talent said: “City of Angels is my love letter to LA, but it’s also a reminder that every dream has shadows. I wrote it about chasing big dreams in a city that’s full of lights, where the glitz and glam can easily blur into the darker corners of reality,” said Lunny. “It’s about finding yourself in the middle of all that chaos and still remembering where you came from.”
The Wombats – ‘Blood On The Hospital Floor’
The Wombats have unveiled their new track ‘Blood On The Hospital Floor’ and it’s a must-listen. Backed by a future-rock classic dappled with intergalactic noises, the track is filled with heartwarming and encouraging lyrics that encourage the listeners to look on the bright side. Speaking on the track: “The idea behind ‘Blood On The Hospital Floor’ is that things that might seem difficult in life can often have a simple resolution. Things are not always as bad as they first may seem. The analogy of mopping up blood from the hospital floor – cleaning up the mess and keeping going.”
Lil Nas X – Need That Boy
Multi-platinum, chart-topping, award-winning artist Lil Nas X has continued to usher in his new music era with his brand new track ‘need dat boy.’ The brooding track features the young talent deliver lovelord lyrics amid a down-tempo production. However, toward the end of the record, Lil Nas X’s classic sound shines through. ‘need data boy’ also features an interpolation of Trina’s iconic single “Pull Over.”
TS Graye – Green Light
Emerging alt-R&B artist TS Graye has returned with her new single ‘Green Light’. Described as a “copy and paste message to your ex.” Speaking on the new track, Graye said: “Green Light” captures the aftermath of a breakup, presented as a conversation. There’s a longing to reconcile, with both parties assuming the other doesn’t reciprocate. The hook pleads for a “green light,” symbolising permission to return and revealing mutual longing.”
Alexia Thomas – Based On A Dream
Alexia Thomas is back with her dazzling new single ‘Based on a Dream.’ Backed by a nostalgic production, the track lives up to its namesake – filled with dreamy lyrics and a wanderlust energy from start to finish.
Paula Tape ft Caravan – Ibis
Chilean-born DJ and producer Paula Tape releases her highly anticipated EP, ‘Acid Latino’, that brilliantly merges Latin American rhythms with the raw, unmistakable power of acid house. Focus track ‘Ibis’ showcases Paula’s immersive artistry to the fullest.
Michi and Knxwledge – There’s No Heaven
Prolific artist NxWorries Knxwledge has put his spin on three tracks by Stones Throw labelmate Michi, remixing two singles by the R&B singer and songwriter. It’s a creative and fun record that will leave listeners dancing all night long.
Barny Fletcher, known for his dynamic blend of genre-defying sounds and emotive storytelling, shifts to a more vulnerable space on ‘Wasted Sunset’. This immersive indie-pop single dives into grief, memory, and the quiet ache of a failed relationship. ‘Barney has done it again with Wasted Sunset.’
