Meet The Wondrous Eva-Lina
Eva-Lina is an emerging pop act that needs to be on your radar. Growing up singing in the church Eva-Lina is no stranger to music. Along with countless listening sessions of classic rock with her brother, the rising artist steadily grew and fostered her musical tastes.
Leaving her day job as a builder, she took a leap of faith and moved to London to pursue her music dreams. Citing Charli XCX and P!nk as significant musical influences the songstress has released powerful bangers and anthems with Like a Girl, and Head in the Clouds.
Now with her addictive new single, I Dare You continuing her upward trajectory, we can’t wait to see what else she brings to the table. We got to chat with Eva-Lina about her empowering new single, sound and more…
I Dare You is such an empowering song, what was the creative process for the record?
I Wrote this with one of my main collaborators Mört, and it’s the second song we ever made together. He actually showed me the beat, and I fell in Love with it, the song came together very quickly after that. Although I’m very much a perfectionist when it comes to writing and if there are parts I think could be better I will rewrite it till it feels right, so I actually showed the song to my housemate, best friend and talented artist and writer Chinchilla and she helped me finish it and make it get it to the final product.
What do you want listeners to take away after listening to the track?
The song is about daring someone to stop putting on a picture-perfect facade, life isn’t perfect, and there is no point in pretending it is. Hopefully, it will make someone question how they portray their life on social
Media or even in real life and hopefully it’s worthy some head bops.
The production is insane as well, what inspired the sound for I Dare You?
We wanted a full-on Pharrell x Gwen Stefani production and was very inspired by that sound, that kind of raw and simple production but yet heavy and very energetic.
You’ve released four singles so far, which was your favourite to create?
Oh, that’s a hard one, I loved creating all of them, but probably I dare you as it’s so energetic and fun and I also got to write some of it with my best friend.
Will there be any music videos to accompany your singles? Can you give us a sneak peek at what to expect?
Yes, being unsigned and releasing music consistently is a lot of hard work and things doesn’t all go according to plans so there will be a video for my previous single “head in the clouds,” and it will be released very soon!

Are you working on an album or EP?
I’m constantly working on new music and currently releasing in single format but and EP or Album is not too far away hopefully.
Is there an album that shaped you and your artistry growing up?
I kind of mostly listened to music my Brother liked when I was younger because I wanted to be like him, so I got a quite a healthy mixture of things, but there was a lot of rock. I do think one of the most important albums that I discovered myself was Jessie J’s first album, “who you are.”
If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?
I change my mind with this one a lot, currently, I’m obsessed with Donna Missal, so I’m going with her.
