Heya Isabelle! How’s everything been?
Despite the circumstances, things have been really positive at the moment.
2020 has been such a hectic year! How have you been staying sane during this weird time?
I’ve been songwriting and trying to get my thoughts out on paper.
Okay, let’s bring it back. At 17 you’ve already amassed 1 million streams and performed at headline shows in Brighton and London. Did you always know that you wanted to pursue music when you were a kid?
I mean it was a toss-up between performer and mad scientist but seeing as my dad is an actor and my mum took me to singing lessons at age 5 I had to put my dreams of becoming the next Einstein on pause.

Which genre or artist fuels your artistic inspiration?
I’m really inspired by Neo Soul because a lot of my favourite artists that are in that category such as Jill Scott, Amy Winehouse and Ms.Lauryn Hill are influenced by jazz and hip hop which I also love!
We need to talk about your amazing EP ‘In Your Head’! Absolutely fantastic. Can you take us through the creative process for the project?
I see the project as a diary of my thoughts and feelings towards situations that have occurred in my life. The mixtape is written as a therapeutic outlet to get me through hard times.
What themes or meanings did you want to explore with this EP?
Some themes are personal and others are more outward looking.

I can’t stop listening to ‘Albert Bridge’ and ‘To Say Goodbye’! Which track was your favourite to create?
Too difficult to answer because each song has a memory and takes me to a different place but I would say that ‘To Say Goodbye’ always gets me a little in my feelings.
Will we be getting more visuals for the In Your Head EP?
I’m flattered to know you want to see more of my cheeky chops but you’ll have to wait and see!
You’re quickly rising in the music sphere, what are your top 5 goals you want to achieve in the next five years?
* Be the youngest person to headline Glastonbury
* High five Stormzy, Dave and Knucks
* Perform at Summerset house
* Have a collab with Anderson. paak
* Hopefully be able to go on a worldwide tour!
