Netta ft. Mr Eazi – Playground Politica

Global superstar and pop genius Netta has dropped ‘Playground Politica’ an Afrobeat fusion jam which features beloved Nigerian artist Mr Eazi. The Eurovision champs latest release is a candy-coated pop gem brimming with celebratory pizzaz that is also the most personal track of Netta’s career, being the first time she has shared a reflection on her time as child growing up in Nigeria. It’s a beautiful look at the life lessions she learned in Nigeria, tinged with a fittingly childlike aesthetic. Also out is the joyous music video for “Playground Politica” which Netta filmed in Nigeria earlier this year with Mr Eazi. 

Balming Tiger ft. RM of BTS – SEX NUKIM

Seoul-based collective Balming Tiger has released their fantastic new single ‘SEXY NUKIM‘ and we are obsessed! The record, which features  RM of the legendary K-pop group BTS, is backed by a genre-defying sound that elevates the collective’s high-octane beats and incendiary verses to new heights. Speaking on the record, the group said: “SEXY NUKIM” is a group single by Balming Tiger, released in about a year and a half. BTS’ RM featured, and this is the first single featured by a guest other than a member of the team. The theme of the song is that the artist’s “sexiness” is not something that can be bought with money, and the track contains a mind set that wants to be “one and only” with their unique personality, not just pursuing material things.“

FLOHIO – Highest

FLOHIO has released her new hard-hitting and impactful single ‘Highest.’ Coming off her new record ‘Out of Heart,’ the track is full of dynamic 808 samples, ear-catching synthesisers and a glossy production. ‘Highest’ is the perfect end-of-summer single.
 

Kali Uchis – No Hay Ley

Kali Uchis is back and better than ever with her new single ‘NO HAY LEY.’ Like her previous release ‘telepatía’, the new record is backed by a smooth R&B/Latin production and full sleek sultry lyrics that fans will be love. Speaking on the record, Kali says: “I wrote this song about putting love above all else. ‘En el amor no hay ley’ means ‘there are no laws to love.’ Be with who makes you happy, and don’t listen to what anyone else has to say about it because it wasn’t their business in the first place!”

Talia Goddess – RAGGA

Following her breakthrough debut, rising star Talia Goddess has returned with her new dancehall fusion single ‘RAGGA’. Throughout the record, the dynamic artist showcases her limitless talent by delivering fantastic bars and a genre-bending production. If you’re looking for an upbeat track to get you moving and dancing ‘RAGGA’ is the record for you.

Gorillaz – New Gold (ft. Tame Impala & Bootie Brown)

Gorillaz have collaborated with Tame Impala & Bootie Brown on their latest track ‘New Gold.’ With its psychedelic/hip hop sound, the new record expertly blends Gorillaz Bootie Town and Tame’s unique styles. Speaking on the track guitarist Noodle said: “Cracker Island is the sound of change and the chorus of the collective.” Russel Hobbs added: “When the reckoning comes, gotta be ready to step through the gateway. Cracker Island’s got the entry codes…”

ayrtn – AQUATIC SHAWTY

ayrtn has released his new subdued, tranquil and meditative new single ‘Yield.’ Fusing elements of the classical and baroque genres, the new record delivers an epic look into Black-led British-based music. Speaking on the record, the young talent revealed: “This song gave me the basis of the project. It was the starting point of everything I wanted to explore. The process was more about listening than creating, as I had to find a grounding in order to know what I needed to strip away as the layers are what make the song emphasise a feeling.”

SHYGIRL – Nike

SHYGIRL is gearing up for the release of her debut album with her brand new single ‘Nike’. In true SHYGIRL fashion, the young talent delivers clever bars that shine a light on what fans can expect from her new music era. We can’t get enough!

Dermot Kennedy – Kiss Me

Powerhouse singer/songwriter DERMOT KENNEDY has dropped his new single ‘Kiss Me’ and we can’t get enough. Backed by a high-octane production, the track is perfect for those hopeless romantics and passionate couples. To make the release even better, Dermot also released an accompanying music video for the ‘Kiss Me’ that elevates the track to new heights.  

Mergui – Lie Like This

Israeli pop sensation Mergui is continuing his music takeover with his brand new release ‘Lie Like This.’ The emotional ballad is full of beautiful lyrics that describe the ups and downs of a romantic relationship. “‘Like Like This’ is about naively thinking you can fix the problems that start to appear in a relationship,” Mergui explains in a statement. “Then the tracks see me realise it won’t work, start to say goodbye to the future we’d planned together, before finally saying goodbye.”
