Andrew Cushin – Just Like You’d Want Me To
Both inspiring and vulnerable, Andrew Cushin’s resilient new single ‘Just Like You’d Want Me To’ reminds listeners to keep their chin up through tough times. Its accompanying visual was filmed while playing a sold-out tour with Louis Tomlinson and showcases the singer-songwriter’s happy vibes. The track will appear on his highly-anticipated forthcoming album Waiting for the Rain, out 29 September.
Luci – Martyr
North Carolina-based talent Luci has returned with her latest single ‘Martyr,’ and we can’t get enough. Taken from her upcoming debut album ‘They Say They Love You’ – which is set for release 02 February 2024 – the new record is backed by a 90s/early 2000s inspired production and features the young talent deliver firey bars and soulful lyricism that will leave music listeners captivated. Speaking on the track, Luci says: “I wanted to give the people lyrics, it’s a song for the ego, something for my people to chant. I’m on my lil rap jug. Power, pressure, hard and loud but melodic.”
Mistress and Pete Cannon – Blinded By The Lights
Mixtress and Pete Cannon have partnered up for an epic reworking of The Streets iconic single ‘Blinded By The Lights.’ The two talents added lush synths, jungle breaks and massive basslines that elevate the already legendary track to new heights. If you’re looking for a new banger to listen to while getting ready for a night out, a run or hang out with friends, Mixtress and Pete Cannon’s rendition of ‘Blinded By The Lights’ is the track for you.
Kabeaushé – THESE DISHES AIN’T GONNA DO THEMSELVES
Kabeaushé has announced their new album ‘HOLD ON TO DEER LIFE, THERE’S A BLCAK BOY BEHIND YOU!’ with their new single ‘THESE DISHES AIN’T GONNA DO THEMSELVES.’ On the track, the Berlin-based talent delivers raw energy and pop excellence with its unique production. Speaking on the record, Kabeaushé explains: “This was one of the first songs I wrote for the project, and one of my most articulate ones, and it captures perfectly the madness of the rest of the project. Brace for impact.”
Gia Ford – Alligator
Emerging pop talent Gia Ford has dropped her new single ‘Alligator’ and it’s a wild ride. Filled with a hypnotic sounds and haunting vocals, the new track showcases the young talent’s storytelling capabilities to the fullest. Speaking about the track, Gia says: “Alligator is a song about a desperation to be seen and heard. I am being facetious by painting myself as multiple unbelievable creatures to garner attention. In the opening statement, I am an Alligator. Then, when that goes ignored, I am “Ten feet off of the ground, with feathers” — a whole new creature, perhaps still the Alligator, perhaps something different. The emotionally human nature in the first lines of verse two; “too far along now, I wouldn’t even know how to turn around” sees the Alligator swimming through a broken and contaminated landscape that it is getting used to and triumphantly withstanding. In the chorus, the final line “Albatross in the sky, aim my crossbow in the night” is a reference to ‘Rhyme of The Ancient Mariner’ by Coleridge. In the poem, the mariner is cursed after he shoots down the bird; it represents a self-inflicted burden.”

Karin Ann – a stranger with my face
Eastern Europe’s growing Gen-Z icon Karin Ann as released her new single ‘a stranger with my face’, a euphoric folk-tinged tune which sees her sit somewhere between Billie EIlish x Fleetwood Mac! The symphonic folk-tinged tune is about losing parts of yourself when gaining feelings for someone else, becoming a version of the other person, or who you think they want you to be. Speaking on the track, Karin Ann says: “Some of the lyrics almost felt religious to me, so I wanted it to sound like a choir on the chorus. It’s almost like you’re making that person your God, you’re worshipping them in a very toxic and unhealthy way. You end up talking their slang, adapting to how they speak… it’s not even about trying to make them like you, more so that you like them so much that you almost want to be more like them. You end up not knowing who you are without them.”
Netta – Wonderful & Great
Netta, known as one of the world’s most innovative modern pop stars breaking through via Eurovision, has announced that her long-awaited debut album will be released in January 2024. To kick-off the announce, she dropped her first single ‘Wonderful & Great’ off her upcoming album, giving us an exciting taste of what’s to come! “I wrote a love song to that girl who has everything going for her in the most perfect and annoying way,” stated Netta about the track. “I thought about how we rarely compliment free of charge, and wanted to promote this positive exchange of energy between people, and in myself.Turning envy into admiration. This song is inspired by a chant that me and my besties do when we’re walking out of the club at 4 am together after a great night out.”
