GXTP – Lust & Purity
Ever wonder what goes on inside the toy box? When the children are away the action figures will play in GXTP’s new action-packed music video for “Lust & Purity,” fresh off their debut album Smoke & Mirrors. In the visual created with classic 90s films like Small Soldiers and Toy Story in mind, GXTP and actor David Arquette band together to take down the sinister chimp and feisty devil plotting their demise. The perfect combination of comedic antics and electric guitar, “Lust & Purity” is an undeniable rock banger that makes for a perfect mood-booster.
NXKXTA – HOPELESS KIND
With epic riffs and an infectious barb-wired hook ‘HOPELESS KIND’ is the latest taste of NXKXTA (aka Nikita)’s debut visual album (due March 2024). This alt-pop anthem from the multi-creative music artist delves into themes of self-sabotage and fatal forms of escapism. “With HOPELESS KIND I wanted to reference the emotional spiral you can find yourself in when life doesn’t work out the way you expected it would. The disillusionment throws you into this limbo of insecurity, self-doubt, self-sabotage and escapism through nightlife, substance addiction (for some), unhealthy friendship & relationship dynamics, forced fun and reckless enjoyment with people who feel just as miserable and numb as you do, all in the spirit of ‘misery likes company’ but disguised as just being oh so ‘wild and free”
Michael Isaak – hey boy
Michael Isaak has released his new single ‘hey boy,’ ahead of his upcoming EP Forever is a Scary World. Backed by a wistful production, the record tells the story of his internal struggle regarding his religious past. While the track is an emotional ride, it ends on a high note, with the young talent embracing a newfound freedom. Speaking on the track, Michael said: “’hey boy’” is a song about wishing well to the former versions of yourself, reminding them that everything will be okay, and it’ll all work out in the end. There’s so much I would say to my younger self, and I wish I could, but I’m also confident he’ll be able to figure it all out on his own.”
